NP Shooting Club's 1st ever Competitive Competition....

Wow wow wow... our club managed to take part in our 1st ever competition. Its an invitational by Singapore Universities Meet....

It started off at ard 8am(20 January 2006), where our teams are ready for the biggest day of our club. All of us are eager & cant wait for the competition to start & end at the same time, as the pressure was there & we managed it well by joking around, before the tensed atmosphere finally fall upon us.

1st on the event list, was the Mens, both Pistol & Rifle. Chris, Sebastian, Liang Chou(Pistols), Fabian, Kok Ho, Jay(Rifles). Results seems satisfying enough for the Mens' Events.

Next & Final event, its the Womens, Rifles & Pistols. Vannessa(Pistols), Ruth, Kristy, Rosslinna(Rifles). They were also proud of their individual performance & results.

After all the events were done, its time for the results to creep in. After much time wasted on results tabluation. the final results were finally finalised, & so is the prize giving ceremony.

So heres the results :

  1. Nanyang Technology University-Gold in Rifle(Men & Women event), Sliver in Pistol(Men & Women)
  2. National University of S'pore-Gold in Pistol(Men & Women event), Silver in Rifle(Men), Bronze in Rifle(Women)

NP Shooters' Competition 2006

sorry for this late post, due to the slow net traffic past few weeks.... so here's the 1st even NP Shooting Club's internal competition...

First of all, NP Shooting welcomes the members back after an examination break. After much rest after the break, finally we have a training session today. The committee decided that today’s training will be a fun and enjoyable training for all since it’s the first training after the break.

Lining up to start off the competition...

At about 2pm, our members arrived at the range and were told to assign themselves into groups of threes. Today is everything about a competition between groups and prizes to be won for the First and second group placing.

as our Chairman looks on...

It all started with some warm-up practices of dry-firing for 15 minutes. Then at 4pm, we started the competition. Everyone was given 30 bullets for 30 shots in 45 minutes. The Pistols with 3 groups in competition, and the Rifles with 2 groups in competition. The shooters also learnt the official method of tabulating the shot points when marking for their peers.

Finally with much anticipation, the results were out. For the Pistol, the group led by Liang Chou won the First prize and another group that is led by Vanessa won the Second prize. For Rifle event, Group led by Ruth won the First prize, and the Second Prize goes to the group led by Jay. Sebastian was our top shooter for Pistol, and Kok Ho was the top shooter for Rifle.

the V-Chairman behind Sebes... Ruth.. taking a breather since she's taking part in pistol & rifle...

Once again, NP Shooting thank the participants for their time to come for the training, and we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
